

SAE BRAZIL FORMULA
THE COMPETITION
There are around 10 SAE Formula competitions around the planet, all governed by the same rules. In the United States there are two of them, Formula SAE in Michigan, and Formula SAE West (Lincoln) in California. Australia is home to the SAE Australasia Formula. In the United Kingdom, the competition is organized by the Institution of Mechanical Engeering (IMechE), and is named Formula Student. In addition to Student Formula Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria and Japan.
In 2004 the Formula SAE Brazil competition, organized by SAE Brasil, began in Brazil. The winning team wins the right to play the Formula SAE competition in Michigan the following year.

PRESENTATION
Development of a comprehensive business plan to convince judges that the team car design best meets the demands of the competition.

ACCELERATION
Dynamic test that assesses the car's acceleration in a straight line from a starting point, covering a distance of 75 meters. The shortest time is the winner of the race.
100 poINTS
EFFICIENCY
The fuel economy of the car is measured in conjunction with Enduro. In this test the relationship between the distance traveled and the fuel consumed in the previous test is analyzed.

DESIGN EVENT
Students present their knowledge of the concepts and all the details of their engineering projects in their team car.
200 poINTS
SKID-PAD
Dynamic proof to measure the car's lateral grip on a flat surface, while the car makes a constant radius curve, which also has the fastest car as the winner.
75 poINTS
ENDURANCE
During Enduro, the car must travel 22 laps in a straight line with curves, curves, hairpins and slaloms, without breaking or failing along the way.
225 poINTS
COST ANALYSIS
Detailed report of all costs associated with car production, materials, processes and assembly. The test result considers the total cost and quality of the report.

AUTOCROSS
Assessing the car's dynamic performance and maneuverability on a sprint-style course with a narrow, closed and challenging unmatched starting and finishing point.
